I ran my car at Crail on Sunday but was seriously let down by my times.I have recently had a full decat exhaust and K+n panel filter put on.The times I ran were almost no different to the times I ran before these mods were done! How the frig is that?!!

I was told that a full decat is good for about 20bhp and a decent torque gain.Do I need a remap?

Can you give us a breakdown of the figures? Have you included RT in that? What year is the car? UK or import?

John,Yes that time does include an RT of 0.164 secs.My car is a uk MY99 and also runs a Forge vta dump valve. The car feels pretty lethargic in 3rd and 4th gear and seems to run out of puff in the last 100m or so. Surely this cant be right.the car should do these figures or better as standard.

I intend to keep modifying as I have only had the car 3 months.

I would appreciate your suggestions. ta mate

Saxo Boy got about a second better with the same spec (decat MY99) plus a map on the same strip. Most of it is in the launch. Standard cars do run out of puff once you are out of third gear.

You don't need a remap, but to go faster you'll need to do something
