I'm currently running an MY97 with full de-cat, and a dawes at 1.2 bar. I'm getting a K&N induction kit soon. Although my car runs nice and rich according to my AFR meter, I'm worried that it may run lean when I fit the induction kit. Being an MY97 a re-map would mean the expensive Power engineering Phase 1 conversion, or an even more expensive replacement ECU. Do you think I'll be safe with a full de-cat, dawes at 1.2 bar and an induction kit with no re-map?

Yep.
The only possible bit you'll be running lean at it spool-up, which shouldn't cause any problems if it happens, it just might not go as well as it 'should' at that point...
Keep an eye on the AFR & you should know anyway
