This can probably be classed as another one of those "whats that noise" I think we should start a seperate forum.

Anyway is it usual for the drivetrain to be fairly noisy on Imprezas?
It's not a particularly loud noise but seems to be behind the drivers seats and under the floor (obviously). It can't be described as a whine or anything but can certainly be heard at lowish speeds and dies off as you go faster.

Is it normal or is there a diff problem or something else?

Auto or Manual, if manual is the problem there with the clutch pressed in? could just be the thrust bearing.
