Ok, I know this sort of thing comes up frequently, but I'm still curious to know if others get it.
Basically, on a cold day, in 5th at about 3500rpm (so peak torque), it cruises just below positive turbo pressure. If I floor it (gently or suddenly), then the pressure goes up to +20psi (on a really cold day), then back to around +12psi, then settles to around +15 to +17.5psi.
Can anything be done about this? I know that on the old WRXs and STis, the grommet in the turbo pipe connection to the ECU monitoring could be changed.
Has anyone come across this in a MY00 PPP? No other changes except air filter, so original down pipe.
Cheers
Richard

I think it is well observed that PPP ECU does not do a brilliant job of controlling boost. Have seen previous posts going through the techie details - sure someone will post more info soon......

Richard if cleaning the restrictor and solenoid with brake cleaner and confirming the oil level is not too high doesn't work, then an adjustable restrictor valve works a treat. I previously posted a mammoth thread on this about a year ago, and following that this guy from a pneumatics shop in Glenrothes sold dozens of them

Good ideas John, thanks! I'll give that a try (the cleaning bit first ) and dig out your old thread.
Hi Mikey,
Yep, still in Germany, and we've just signed a development deal with Ferrari. I'm off to Maranello tomorrow to meet the guys, then off to Estoril for a photo-shoot next week and hopefully meet the drivers too
Cheers
Richard
