Fuel Pump/Exhaust
#1
I have a 95 WRX with a fuel pump problem. Driving along before Xmas, out shopping, then engine started coughing and spluttering before dying. The same as running out of petrol. AA man said it could be the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay, but didn't check. HOw can you check, how much is a relay / pump, and how straightforward to change. Subaru main dealer don't think the car has a fuel pump relay?!?!?!
If anyone can help with one other question. I have an hks D/PIPE, and a scoobysport back box, but the car has a centre section from Trust. This seems to be about a foot too long, and will not mate to the S/S bb. Will a scoobysport centre be needed, will it mate to the HKS d/pipe, or should a look for a standard centre section that ius almost sure to mate to both the HKS d/pipe and the SS bb,
Please help, especially with the fuel pump problem. BTW, the in dash engine fault code display is showing no problems.

scoobysport, scoobymania, haywards and scott will all mate to your hks downpipe and be the right length for your scoobysport back box too.
have you got a blocked fuel filter?
have no idea about the fuel pump relay, didnt think it has one, and if it does it isnt by the tank.
You may as well get an uprated fuel pump from mark@lateraldevelopments.co.uk. think they are around £150 and kept in stock.
easy to change, can be done yourself with relative ease.
