Jap MY99 WRX and a dawes ?

Hello all,
I can't seem to find anything about putting a dawes device on a jap spec MY99 WRX.
I have a SS centre and back box and hopefully I will get a SS downpipe very soon. I don't *need* 300+ bhp, but I would like more mid range punch.
will a dawes give me this, with maybe only 1.1 bar dialed in. I always use Shell SU, but don't use octane booster. I am worried about the 100ron issue and the later classic imports.
Has anybody any suggestions or experiance they would like to share, please.
