Question

Anyone have the URL of a website that lists all the different Turbos (VF22, TD05, TD04 etc) and their charectersistics against each other? And what Scoobies they come with (lol)?

Also: Am guessing MY94LegacyT is a TD04..am I correct?

Cheers dudes.

I don't think there is one (be handy if there was, though!). Certainly IHI keep very quiet about their details. MHI data can be found more easily, although any of the data is quite complex! Best 'friendly' info on IHI VF series is on the company's who are trying to flog them. MRT has some comparative data; it's also comparatively useless, but a start There is a PDF they have somewhere, but I can't find it at the moment

Bummer Thanks nom.

Ok...Given the obvious lack of info, I will go web trawling and knock up some kind of table or something.

If anyone wants to make my life easier by posting useful hints (e.g. which are 90 degree entry, compressor size, turbine size, top speed, flow rate, maximum pressure, wastgate specs etc etc) then all info will be greatfully recieved.

legacy is vf12 standard. other 90 degree is tdo5, and cheap to pick up.

other 90 degree ones are rare apexi/ihi hybrids etc, but expensive

common other impreza units are tdo4, vf series etc, but these are on later and sti cars and are front entry.

Ahah! But nothing to stop me raising the inlet manifold for a front entry, right? (lol: Calling Dr.Wallis....Calling Dr.Wallis)

Ok...time to do some research on the VF turbos then. See what they are good for.

Blimey that was quick Dr.Wallis.

Did you raise your inlet manifold in the end?
I Seem to remember you were going to go for a straight entry turbo?

How easy was it? lol
I am afraid to admit you have got me all fired up, now....I want to build a scary legacy.
