What fuel you running? Using octane boosters? Sounds like MMT, but why only on one plug I don't know...remember, Big end bearing on 3 is prone to failure...might be first signs that you are running lean...?

Lightbulb

I heard that octane boosters can cuase your plugs to turn redesh in colour, supposibly completely harmless; however, the puzzling thing in your case is it only occured on 1 plug......go get it looked at imho

Cheers,
Ray

Red face

May be something as simple as water ingress into the plug cap, have you ever powerwashed your engine.
I have seen this before when changing plugs, and Ive put it down to water ingress.......not on Subarus tho.
