I guess this has already been done, but "search" wont co-operate.
Has anyone had an Ecutek re-map. How much improvement have you found? What does it cost? Should it be done after other mods have been done (Its time for that full exhaust and panel filter). Any negative side effects?
Thanks, Jules.

I take it you have seen http://www.ecutek.co.uk which includes dyno plots and prices? What do you want to achieve from your car and then I can advise a bit further?
Also see my (small) website from my profile. The Ecutek site lists other dealers around the UK and internationally. Feel free to post here or email me with any queries not answered from the above.

Find a post from john banks and email him.....or just wait a few hours he'll be along. He's ECUTEC's scottish re-mapping guy and is very knowledgeable on the subject and scooby tuning in general.

I have just fitted a Tec1 ECU to my MY00 and am a bit disapointed as it does'nt seem to be very different! Still not as sharp as my old MY97 car. I was'nt expecting it to have transformed the car into a fire breathing monster, nor did I want it to, but I was expecting a bit more than this!
I am trying to find a rolling road in the south that can accomodate four wheel drive cars to check that its set up properly, anyone know of one near me? I live in Salisbury by the way.

Thanks Richard.
Nice selling job, you should get paid!?
John, in reply to "What do you want to achieve from your car and then I can advise a bit further", we all just want to go faster! No, really, a bit more power to help break traction (difficult, I know) and improving the off boost bit coming out of tight corners.
I presume if an exhaust is fitted first, then the re-map will give better results (don't know what my ECU is yet ,99MY)

Yes best to get the exhaust first. From what you are saying an exhaust and a remap would be a good place to start. I ask what you are looking for so you don't end up doing like me and ending up with an attic full of Subaru parts after buying and selling bits of kit and continually upgrading. If you tell me you want 270 BHP the plan is very different to 350 BHP Start with the right bits first time much easier
