Hi All
My MY98 (Quick shift, back box and induction kit) has now covered just over 46k miles, I drive quickly but cover mostly short journey. I read an article on a WRX where they insisted that a cluch on a WRX should last between 25K (driven hard) to 45K (driven briskly).
A Clutch in a UK car how long should it last ?
How long has your cluch lasted ?
Cheers
Neal

Mines done 62000 miles on the original clutch and feels fine (MY98 WRX). The bite's still pretty low down (not sure if it does ever get higher before it fails though) so hopefully there quite a bit of life left in it...

Megastream,
Did you have any problems getting the second replacement under warranty? My MY00 had a new clutch at about 16000 miles for juddering and its started again at about 23000. Lancaster's have submitted a warranty claim but I'm still waiting for the answer.

Got mine checked during engine rebuild and I saw it and it only had about 8000 miles left in it (car has done 47,000 so far)
Do it sooner rather than later - do you want it to go on a wet night at the side oa a road in the middle of nowhere and you stand there with a mobile phone with NO SIGNAL and think to yourself, I wish I'd done the clutch

Damn imprezapm that is one expensive clucth £45k lol Neal u really shud follow my lead & drive like a saint Is yers going a bit iffy then? Mines only slipped once when doing a full bore standing start from lights but aint had any probs since & i think it's probably still the original in which case the best part of 75k miles although now my wheels grip better i'm tempted 2 get a clutch that can keep up NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stop tempting me satan So out of interest how much have peaps payed for upgraded clutch goodies, organic, twin plate etc etc?

My car has done 105600miles and looking through the history it has the original clutch.. although the receipt for the clutch might not be in there, who knows... it judders though but works fine..
I have done 30k since I bought the car...
touch wood, touch wood!
