Please help, Clutch noise with pedal pressed
Hi.
bought this bit of a ****ter wrx wagon cheap
now ended up removing box again to check all, doing my head in
So I replaced bollocksed gearbox (with a good one working, no noise), clutch fork , release bearing and fw bearing. I reused his existing clutch and fw
there was a noise and vibration through the clutch pedal when fully pressed to the floor. Whilst in gear and especially if blipping the throttle
any ideas please?
thanks

Removed the gearbox, replaced clutch with new exedy and new flywheel, new pilot bearing and new cluch release bearing. test drove, still no better
Mechanic advised could be engine mounts, replaced with new oem mounts. Still same
To drive its a really bad knocking under load, like its waiting for something to go bang
Engine does not knock at idle, quite quiet
gearbox has correct millers oil
Vibrations can be felt badly through depressed clutch at bite point and with hand on gear stick
Thanks in advance

When you pulled the engine, how was the free-play in the input shaft? Sounds like it could potentially be the input shaft bearing has worn out or collapsed.
does it sound like a gravelly rattle with the clutch pushed in?
