Default Classic STI diff type

Hello, I've removed this diff from my JDM Sti V.5, as it was making some knocking noises on full lock. Some suggested that it might be a plated diff, hence the locking. Can anyone see if this is the case, by looking at these photos? Thank you.

Thanks very much! Just so that I learn from this, how did you work it out? And do you think that is why it was knocking around tight corners?

@1509joe sorry to bother again, could you please let me know how you worked out the diff type and if knocking would be normal for this type? I might want to sell it and want to make sure. Thanks in advance.

@1509joe if you refer to my previous thread, I was trying to identify the diff while still on the car. It's now off the car and open so I thought it'd be easier to identify. Anyway, no worries if you are reluctant to give more info. 👍

Sorry if I missed something but my previous questions where different, and you never answered on the first thread if it was a plated diff or not and if that would cause knocking. Anyway, no worries, I wont bother you again.
