Default Light weight flywheels.

People with these fitted, have you got an over run/decel noise form fitting one?
i have a RTS 6kg kit and after 450miles i have this horrid grinding noise between 3 -4,000rpm on just over run, we have changed everything with new and still have it, so last ditch wondered if the flywheel weight could be the issue? i just ordered a new Exceedy so trying to see if worth putting a new oem flywheel back in? as the noise is unbearable on my ocd now its driving me insane,

I've just had a Competition clutch installed without their recommended lightened flywheel. The oem flywheel was refitted, and I am definitely getting alot more overrun noise, so, ironically, I wish that I had fitted theirs.
However, yours is very light.

The noise in mine is driving me mad, it sounds like the box is failing but yet was fine one of the better ones and had top oil in it, changed it twice over a short period and clean as a whistle, zero bits. and even fitted all new center diff bearings as thought could be, but exact same, but seen a few posts on the NASIOC and fair few posts complainants on there.

I had a little noise on my AS Performance lightweight flywheel but it was very minimal indeed and certainly not something to worry about.

I've read on another thread that 6kg wheel is optimum but when looking to buy one I can only find the 4kg

I have a lightened flywheel fitted to mine and can hear a tinny "rattley" noise sometimes, this is not all the time or allways on the over run. To be honest i thought it was a loose vibrating turbo shield.

I had competition clutch and their lightweight flyheel recently to my classic. I did research it and found lots of threads to confirm overrun noise from fitting Exceedy clutch so that made my mind up to go CC.

I've not heard any overrun noises
