sti with light tapping noise on engine
I have a 1997 sti with 45000 miles and i have started hearing a light tapping noise when i touch the revs to about 1500rpm has any one else had this and does it sound serious?

hard to say without hearing noise
depends on where on engine noise is from and also what type of tapping noise it is i.e light tapping or harsh metallic
i would advise you to get a garage to have a listen to it and go from there

i have heard the noise today on his car, it is when you tap the peddal very lightly, when you floor it you cant hear anything, it doesnt sound bad but he needs to know just in case, what could it be.

I get this on mine. When i tap the pedal i get a clicking noise.Seems to be it's just the boost solenoid clicking away.
