Default Widetrack Drivetrain into Classic Shell

Hi all,

I have seen this subject crop up in a few other threads, but I was hoping to get some feedback from someone who has done it (or who can at least confirm if the theory is sound!)

I am planning a WRC98 replica build and at the moment my basic plan is to take the engine, gearbox, running gear and anything else possible from a 2005 STi and put it into a Type R shell. I think I am right in saying this is a relatively straight forward swap? On the assumption the exchange is relatively easy, what issue(s) could/are likely to occur as a result of this swap?

Appreciate any feedback anyone can give. There are still a lot of variables in my plan and I'd like to get all the details worked out before work begins!

I actually have a 2005 STi donor ready to go, so my current plan is to start with an empty shell. Would certainly consider doing it that way though.
