1) Is this gauge suppose to make a buzzing sound when its operating, ie when boosting up?

2) When the engine is idling (Minus Readings), is the marker suppose to be steady or have a slight movement in it (Slight Shake)?

it will have slight movement, v sensitive if you blip the throttle a fraction the rev counter won't move but your boost gauge will!!! I sit in traffic trying to get the boost gauge to wind up without making the revs higher!!!

Mine certainly doesn't buzz or hum or make any noises

It sounds like you dont have a restrictor in the line to the gauge. This controls the pressure ramp into the gauge and smooths out the readings. It shouldnt fluctuate and stutter as it wont last long!

Where abouts in the tubing would the restrictor go?

What does it look like?

I'll answer but it based on the MY01 version. The restrictor is a small piece of brass tubing that connects into the line from the engine very close to the engine itself.

Where would I buy the restictor from.

I went to GGR and they said the resitrictor is built into the gauge.
