JOLLY GREEN MONSTER MAPPING

No not expensive, the £1000 refers to actually buying an aftermarket ecu,and then getting it mapped to suit your modifications, the ecu alone could cost in excess of £800.It depends on which year and type of impreza you have eg the 1999 UK and Jap wrx/sti models have an ecutek ecu as standard, which can be remapped if you have a licence,if it has been remapped once already, then the licence will have also been bought, and will not need to be bought again.I have a 1998 UK model, the origional ecu in the 1997/1998 cars cannot be remapped,i bought an Apexi power fc aftermarket ecu secondhand for about £350 and Simon (Jolly Green Monster) mapped it for me.I have just rebooked him for late october to have it remapped again,as i am putting a bigger turbo, injectors etc.

Took my car to another mapper & was without the vehicle for way too long. Apparent faults included new ecu, idle control valve etc. This spanned for over a month without use because as soon as the car was collected the revs were spiking all over the range that i had to ride the brake straight back to were it was done. Anyhow waited for JGM to look over whilst mapping & have not had any problems since. Will be remapped next month.

I echo what has already been said, Simon was very helpful by coming to me rather than me go all the way down to him, so very accommodating.
He spent a good 2hrs or so doing my car. Everything had to be just right and I like that attitude. I also thought I needed a 3port boost solenoid of which he had a couple he could have supplied me, but it turned out my car did not need one and that saved me ~£50. He could have easily said yes it needs it and I would have given him the extra for it.
He's an honest and genuine guy and I have nothing but praise for him.
I've used other mappers in the past, but since Simon mapping my car I will definately ONLY use him in the future

I have exclusively used Simon for my mapping for a number of years now and have never once been unhappy with the service or the quality of the map.
Bug thumbs up here
ps I also organised a group buy in the relevent section on here so get your name down for some healthy discount

can't big him up enough, mapped my car twice now in 5 months! Very pleased, top guy didn't mind me delaying the remap due to a water pipe going, as he is very busy. I will definately use him again

How is JGM?
A true gent and an avid enthusiast. He once said to me its great when your job is your hobby lol. I have used Simon a few times now, dragged him to Germany and Northern Ireland. The car is always bang on when he is done as he wont leave it any other way.
The good news is he is back with us in NI and Ireland later this month to map several cars yet again.
Oh Simon if your reading this fancy a trip to Belgium??
His mapping goes without saying, all the FREE support/advice he gives to many via email/phone and also his customer service is outstanding. Many fail to mention that! He also brings a huge amount to the forums aswell. Lets not forget about that folks.
