diagnostics centre Durham area.. anyone recommend
i'm afraid to ask such a question incase a certain member ridicules me for asking a civil/serious question
anyway... my 2000 turbo failed it's MOT on emissions ( max limit should be 1.03.. the scooby was at 1.06 on the lampter idle( whatever that is)).. so we were advised to get it put on a diagnostics machine. We took it to the garage last night, but this guy didn't have the correct plug... and the one he tried to use kept blowing the fuse for the rear lights ( it also stopped the rev counter and temp gauge from working too)
The car was due to be serviced by a friend on the monday before its mot on the thursday.. but he never came to pick the car up off me... which i'm getting very concerned about as i'd put some Protec engine flush in.. and it's still in there I've also been told to get the emissions back down, to just put in a new air filter and give the car a good thrash.... will this work???
obviously it was due to have new filters etc over a week ago.
just wondered if any of you stalwort scooby owners can help me... it is my first subaru (had it for 10 months).. and i'm not really all that mechanically minded

just like to say thanks again for putting me in touch with Alan.
just spent £200 with him on sensors for my baby ( which still didn't allow her to pass the MOT.. but got her 'sorted' in the end )
anyway.. will deffinately use Alan again.. I have plans for my Scooby !
