graham goode
#1
On tuesday 1/5/01 i went to graham goode in leicester to purchase some parts for my scooby. I wanted white dials (160mph), didn't have any in stock, intercooler protector, only had a piece of mesh? then asked for a momo steering wheel boss kit, didn't have one in stock but told me their suppliers had one and if i ordered it there and then i would have it delivered by the end of the week. I ordered it and waited, today saturday 5/5/01 i still hadn't recieved it so i phoned several times to be put onto an answerphone, seventh attempt i got through to someone. I explained what i was waiting for to be told they knew nothing about the momo boss, it had never been ordered (i have a special order service invoice with the date of ordering), i was then told momo don't do a boss kit if the car has an airbag, so why did graham goode take payment in full on my credit card and promise to send me one before the end of the week, i thought they were Subaru specialists.

Ian,
That's not quite right. You can get a momo boss for the impreza but it's for a boggo model. The steering shaft etc is different for a turbo. I bought one for my98 scoob and the splines only gripped the shaft by 2mm instead of the full 10mm and the splines themselves were very shallow and poorly machined. The shaft itself is also tapered and the momo taper is totally wrong for the scoob turbo. I had mine re-machined but was still unhappy with the quality and fit of the momo, it's dangerous imho on all counts, which is why momo say that this boss is not meant for airbagged models.
