Good news for Fandroids and good news for Apple disciples
Just for all your information ... the likes of jonc, andy97, Ant etc.
I have in the last few weeks been building a set of responsive email marketing templates. In order to test these I have had in front of me an iPhone4 running IOS6, iPhone5 running IOS7, Galaxy S4 and HTC One (well I think that is what it is called) both running late releases of Android.
In that time I have been using them to do other things like surf, get/send emails, take pics, text and make calls just to see if one is much better than any of the others.
All of them have performed pretty much flawlessly and all have around the same battery life (the iPhone5 is marginally better here but the phones aren't used that much so it's not a propr test).
I can't honestly say one is any 'better' than the other.
Personal choice for me would be the iPhone 5 running IOS7, but that is just a preference. I do like the quality feel of the Apple devices
Did have a small issue upgrading the iPhone4 to IOS7 a couple of days ago, but a thread on here fixed that and while it is noticeably slower than the 5 it still works well!
So all these threads about this, that and the next issue with one or other brand, OS, device are as I suspected mainly nonsense. At the end of the day all devices will have bugs, quirks and individual examples may have issues, but overall they all work and do what they are supposed to do and these issues will be fixed by the respective device/OS providers in the same way all other software is patched/updated over time!

Let's not forget that although the Samsung and the HTC could be considered the same, the iPhone is completely different. That's why Apple will always be better, no competition.

Blackberry were Apple's only true competition and they're all but gone. When Google starts making a device come knocking, or even more of a stretch Samsung makes an operating system. LOL. Microsoft might do it for you Windows users, but it could take a while, got to shut Finland up first.

Blackberry being Apples only true competition is a stupid statement as its just your opinion and its obviously very wrong as Windows is Apples only true competition as Goggle is well ahead of iOS so therefore its not exactly competition and Google make the Nexus phones of which a new model is due and it will sell out as soon as it hits the interweb shop.

Unlike Apple, Google reduced the price of its Nexus 4 to clear stock and it all sold very quickly. The new model is due soon with an expected price tag of £300 or less. Some things will be dumbed down such as cameras etc but it will be right up there with the top spec phones but at a budget price
