Mac, Quark 7 files into CS4 Indesign - Anyone
Been using my trusty old G5 mac and time to upgrade to a new 27" iMac. I have been using Quark Xpress for years over indesign, so I now need to convert my Quark 7 files to CS4 format anyone have software etc. Q2ID will not do CS4 Macs, only for Windows.
Or do I just cut my loses and upgrade to CC and Quark 9/10? Just such a big investment I can't justify at present.

Why do you need to go to ID over qXP?
I was a qXP guy for a long time, and then when switching jobs, had to switch to Pagemaker, which I loathed, and then Indesign, which I still loathed.
If you can stay with qXP then do so.
Would I be correct in thinking you have CS4 for mac? If so, then don't forget the new iMac can run Windows, even if it's in a VM, and so you could get the Q2ID for windows, run that, convert the files to CS4, and then open them in CS4 on the Mac side of things.
