Default possible move from 4S to Nexus 4

Would anyone think I was mad?

what might I expect to find going from iOS6 tothe latest android, on a Nexus 4?

I don't connect my phone to my mac much apart from syncing music.

I do need my contacts, email accounts and to take and edit a photo (snapseed got bought up by google, so that's that sorted )

facebook, twitter, instagram, maps, wordpress i think are all there yes?

experiences anyone?

I wasn't being funny, but come on. You know how these threads go, especially if you are going from IOS to Android.

Instead just try it, create a Gmail account, put all your contacts, tel numbers on it, when you get your Nexus all your contact will appear when you sign in. The rest is just fun then.

You'll go there thinking it's not too bad, see how bad the AppStore is and regret ever making the switch

You say that but most of it is free, so if you don't like it, just delete it.
So for you, it is not about how the app store is layed out but what apps are on there?

You really are an Android hater aren't you Ant!

And if you read a bit further down that article you will read this:

'What I’m trying to emphasize here is that most malicious and risky apps aren’t even on the Google Play store to begin with, so most users won’t download and install them.'

So, I see your Android attack and raise you this:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20216101

We can do this all day Jack.

SHOCK! New anti-malware company for mobile devices founded last year reports massive rise in malware, so best go buy their product.

We know you work or worked in a well known Anti Virus company, so you know full well the scare tactics used to market these kinds of products. Earlier you were ridiculing others for believing everything they read on the internet!

Still, it amounts to nothing compared to the Flashback infection on over quarter of a milliion Apple devices earlier this year.

Patent case that doesn't affect iOS users at all vs Android malware that will affect you like it or not. No comparison.

Android malware is a real issue, you can ignore it if you like, but you should be informed.

F-Secure are one of the oldest Antivirus companies by the way.

But, as the article states, if you only use google play store, you are very unlikely to be affected.

So, why should I worry again Jack?

No, not a hater at all . I just don't like it.
You try searching for a Bbc news app and it brings 10 different ones up that people have hashed together and you find yourself trying to find bbc's own.

This was my findings on gingerbread it may of changed now.

I'm glad you read the article, now you know what to do, reduce your chances of infection by only using the Play Store. A true Fandroid won't accept such restrictions, too Apple like.

It brings up a few now but the main BBC News app is very easily to spot. I think it is at the top of the list anyway. Plus, you can quickly scroll down to the review sections and very easily get an idea of how good the app actually is.

I have only ever used the google play store. To be honest with you, I didn't even know there were others! Never had the need to go looking elsewhere.
