No idea on the Android ones, but are you sure you need 3G - can you not tether it to your Android phone? That's what I do with my iPhone & iPad - using T-mobile so no extra charge.

I've got a Samsung galaxy 10.1 tab2 with wifi. I paid 299 for it with 50quid cash back from currys. Really like it, Does all the android stuff like phone. Now have to reduce the time my daughter uses it as she hooked! I like to use it on youtube while washing up :-) pop into currys and have a play :-)

I popped into my local Currys yesterday (first time for 5 years - Just to keep David Lock happy! ) to have a look at the Nexus 7.
Before I held it, I was convinced that this would be my next purchase to replace my old netbook. But I actually prefer my trusty netbook.
I just can't see how typing on a forum such as this is going to be as easy as it is now.
Am I missing something?

The downsides, well, it depends what you do. Typing is okay and I can just about touch type on my iPad. Creating documents, spreadsheets or pretty much anything is painful. Possible, but painful.
So you haven't missed anything, and if I had to choose between my laptop and iPad I would take the laptop. As it is I have the luxury of both and take whichever one I know I will need for that particular occasion.

"I can't see how Currys and PC World will be around in 5 years either.
All the tech that is being sold by them at the moment, just helps the user shop online.
Now that you can view hundreds of reviews for any one item online, you don't really need to visit the store anymore.
I can't remember the last time I purchased an electrical good from a shop. "

I didn't intend on buying it from them. They only had the 16GB on the shelf anyway for £170.
Just though I would see what all the fuss about. And yes, would you believe it, I was approached twice in the space of 5 minutes by the sales staff.
That was my first visit for 5 years or so, at least. Can't see me going back anytime soon either.
