Samsung galazxy s2 apps ??
Having just bought the young lad the new Galaxy s2 for xmas just wonder if anyone could recommend some handy apps ? in particular looking for one to keep tabs on his data usage, the contract comes with 500MB off data per month and obviously dont want him going over this limit. also is there a tv app available for android ??

Not sure what network you are on but if Vodafone they offer their own app which shows the months use and bill costs, there are other apps available through the market which offer data monitoring also

what network are you on? as soon as I get to 80% used on O2 I get an automated text telling me and also the date it gets reset on.
Just to add, I don't think I can go over when I hit the 500mb without ringing up/online and adding extra data for the month.

Yep thanks guys, have to agrea thou 500MB is nothing hence the reason wanting to keep an eye on the limit !!
tv app - yep okay appreciatte its probably not the best app for keeping data usage to a minimum !!
The galaxy s2 was bought via tesco- ( tesco mobile ) £20.42 a month for two years which gives you 300 minutes / 300 texts and this 500mb off data and the handset itself is free.
given the cost off the phone itself have to say I think the deal is very good indeed.

Android users desire for fast downloads but inability to pay for the service is reaching a fulcrum.
Is this the start of some sort of telephone negative equity.

500MB will be fine for an Andriod phone as if you want to watch any videos you don't need to acess them online, you can plug the phone into a computer, copy them to the file system and watch them later from the file system and you use just about any format including WMV.... f**k you Apple

Not sure how long is left to run but to celebrate 10 billion downloads from Android Marketplace they are selling various premium apps for 10p. The choice changes daily and there has been some good stuff. Today's seems to be mostly games though.....

There is a few ways but the way I did it was to go to Slideme marketplace(this is not the andriod marketplace so you will have to give your phone permission to install outside apps) and download N64oid which is the emulator, then I got GameHunter from the android marketplace. These aren't free, N64oid was £3.99 and Gamehunter was £1.99 but after that the Roms are free and it is well worth it for the grin factor. You open Game hunter and either find from the list or search for what you want then download to your phone ideally via Wi-Fi, then go into your N64oid and it should be there ready to rock and roll! Also it is exactly like the original game
