Latest news I read says the update did not rectify the battery issue, does anyone know if it effects iphone4 (not s) with the ios5 upgrade as well?

My iPhone 4s had a real bad battery problem, would do a battery in half a day with everything switched off on it, it's still not great but since the update it lasts about 3/4 of a day now, I'm getting a replacement tomorrow though as it also has a few other problems

My 4S, running 5.0 and 5.0.1, happily runs far longer than my previous iPhone 3G and 3GS.

I'm actually charging my 4S every other day now, rather than every day for previous models - and I use it for business, with most things turned on (I have Location Services off, but wifi on most of the time, BT on some of the time and 3G on all the time)

Very happy with 4S battery here - though it does seem that the "battery issue" on 5.0 wasn't fully (or even partially) resolved in 5.0.1 and many are still complaining, and I believe Apple is still investigating further.

Apple admit the software update hasn't really fixed the battery issues and are still working on it.

my iphone 3gs was updated with the newest software and its battery life hasn't changed until you use the wifi then it goes down really quickly. The wifi thing is the only thing i can find so far that drains the battery faster than it did before the update if that makes sense?

My 4s was nearly flat when I went to pick it up the other day, I was expecting a good 80% as had been the case. Closed a good few apps, ten maybe, and it's back to itself again.

In fact it shone today, got to try Airplay mirroring it worked a treat and got a hammering, iPod and a few phone calls and we're over 50% this evening.
