Apparently there is a firmware update out for the superhub - it fixes a few issues and also lets you use it in 'modem only' mode so you can then use a 'proper' router to do wifi, nat etc.

hth

you will only get r30 firmware if it is pushed to your modem. i don't think it is on general release yet.

Cheap and cheerful WRT-54G or something similar (linksys) - they can be modd'ed with dd-wrt (google it) - have mine running that and it never goes wrong

Also - apparently the firmware can be forced on the SuperHub - check out Avforums as I've seen something on there.

thanks

is it the netgear routers that can have a "tomato" tweak to make them better?

Press and hold the big virgin media button on the front for a few seconds and it will turn the wifi part of it off so you can use it as modem only, then just plug in another wifi router into it.

This is what I had to do and I even get a better signal than the superhub.
