Question What's the easiest way to edit a DVD?

Have got a DVD of about 30 mins that I want to edit down. Never done anything like this before.

What's the easiest way? Is there any software already on a modern dell or what is best to download.

Idiots guide would help

Rip it with Handbrake edit it in Movie Maker, job done.

Windows Movie Maker. Already installed on your machine more than likely.
