What is this lead called please?
I have been re-arranging my workspace and telephone point is now about 3 m away from my router. So I need an extra long lead to connect the DSL Filter (plugged into telephone point) to router. This is cable with small type telephone connectors on each end. What is it called please so I can Google and find one. Thanks, David

David,
It's either an RJ45 or RJ11.
R11 looks like this, which is a normal telephone extension cord thing. From what you have said however, I think you want RJ45 connectors on both end, ie; a modem extension cable, something like this
RJ45's are usually mistaken for Cat5/ethernet cables, as they look slightly similar, but Cat5 is a larger plug.

Thanks chaps, This is the cable that connects the DSL filter to the modem. The ethernet cable connects the modem to the PC and is different.
You must be familiar with a standard filter which has a standard telephone male connector at one end and another female telephone socket at the other and next to that is a smaller connection to take the cable I am talking about.
But hey no worries as I will take it to my nearest PC shop. I was trying to avoid this as it's 6 miles away and even if they had one would charge me 3 times what it should cost!

David,
The above advice is confusing at best (no surprise as it is Scoobynet and I am being kind for once).
You want an RJ11 ADSL modem/router cable. Like this:
http://www.cables2u.co.uk/rj11-adsl-...ion-p-775.html
Although RJ45 is actually a jack standard orginally for telephones RJ45 cables are now the way ethernet cables are referred to and have 8 pins rather than the telephony focused RJ11 which has 6.
RJ11 is definitely what you need, not RJ45!!
