I wonder how many times they've had to ditch the graphics engine over that time ?

Was what got me into multiplayer gaming when at Uni playing via a null modem cable 1st year before moving to new digs 2nd year and setting up an old BNC ethernet LAN so 4 of us could play lol. Loved that game and was unbeatable. But its been too long and things have moved on not just in terms of graphics but playability and interaction. I think they should had ditched this a long time ago.

Lets hope that it is as good as the hype. I have been looking forward to this for ages (as you can see from the fact I posted the original messages four years ago, how time flies!).

I loved Duke Nukem 3d when I first got it, was the first game that felt expansive and open, really got the feel of going round a dodgy city at night abnd beign able to have a film playing in the cinema seemed so advanced even though it was only looped images.
