Another Windows virus strikes!
for the the third time in a month I have a ****ing virus/malware on a windows PC, No network connections, no MS essentials, can not system restore but no obvious warning messages!
Does anyone else have any idea what it is? My Vista desktop looks like windows 3.11?

May not be the same thing but yesterday I had a call on the house phone from someone claiming to be associated with microsoft? They said I had a virus on the pc which had sent a msg to there offices which I had stated my pc was off from the main & th@ my Norton anti had not given any warnings. The person replied that this virus cannot be detected by the anti virus & he will need to take control which involved me giving my pc details i believe. I cut him short & refused but took the details which for all i know may be false? Any opinions as i'm not hot on computer programmes?
