What he said. Any modifications and Microsoft will block your console from ever being used online

You can flash the drive to play back ups as soon as you go online though you are banned.

You can't stored backup games and run them off a external HDD like the wii, only way is a jtag'ed xbox which is impossible on new xbox's.

I didnt think the new slims could be flashed yet

it's not as easy as the wii you do know that?, trace cuts likely be involved and reading and flashing of the firmware.

to a amateur it can easily go wrong

by the time you have downloaded all the software to reflash the drive and bought the probe to read the key (lite on drives) and then risk bricking the drive your better off paying some one to do it for you, you can get it done for £20, if it needs the traces cut this is a fiddly job and costs more, the new xboxes apparantly are easier to flash with no trace cutting and the new firmware will be available this week the hardest job is opening them lol as i found out a week after release when i had one in for repair. Last year when every body got banned a new firmware came out called LT and i have not heard of anyone getting band using this firmware but there is a newer firmware out now as LT will not allow you to play the newer games such as need for speed.

LT+ supports the new ap2.5 checks so can play all current games, flashing the drives is not hard if your reasonably competent, check out xbox-scene.com and xboxhacker.net
