Default Netbook / Laptop

Hi Guys,

Just need a couple of pointers.

Gf wants one its just going to be used for facebook, surfing & the odd bit of online banking.

Budget is say £250 ish, any ideas on what to get ? If the netbooks are rubbish then i'll double the budget for a lappy.

TIA

Netbook is all preference. It's the feel for typing and mouse function mostly. Best bet is go to pcworld and hve a play. For women alot of it is looks too. There all very similar. Spent alot of time playing with Asus at work and can't complain.

Have used a few. My favourite is the Asus 1001p

Latest N450 atom processor. Big keyboard. 6-cell battery. Matt black finish. Good solid machine.

Hard to say as long as its not graphically demanding I dont see why not. You could go down the route of a top spec netbook with HD screen duel core atom etc but it get pricey

My graphics chip is a intel GMA 950 and I couldnt run COD 4 wouldn’t start on it but ive seen cod 4 running on other net books so if they play that then FM should run great lol have a look at you tube to see games running on various netbooks might give you a better idea
