Having played previous versions only help by getting into the game quicker I guess.
Not essential.

Money has been taken and I have a confirmation order
Should be delivered on the 9th (Release Day) but could be the day before if you're lucky
Or late if you're not 
Either way if the order comes through it saves me having to queue at the supermarket
