ScoobLou 27 October 2010 11:20 PM

Ordered, thank you. :thumb::D

Lisawrx 27 October 2010 11:52 PM

Would you have to had played the others to be able to play this one?

For that matter, would you have to had played the original to play Modern Warfare 2?

Richie856 27 October 2010 11:56 PM

Having played previous versions only help by getting into the game quicker I guess.
Not essential.
These codes....being the cautious person I am....what's the catch? :)
Didn't think anything Woolworths related still existed?

belliott69 28 October 2010 12:00 AM

woolworths was relaunched online and i've just entered the codes and got my money off, thanks alot mate your a star.

Richie856 28 October 2010 12:12 AM

Aye, read about them as well.
Ordered....excellent.
Cheers :)

Lisawrx 28 October 2010 12:18 AM

I am tempted, but I was tempted more by something else, unfortunately there is a minimum order price. (and no, I wasn't trying to just spend a couple of quid ;))

Oh-Flock 28 October 2010 09:19 AM

Mogsi 28 October 2010 09:45 AM

Before ordering it's worth reading the thread on HotUkDeals, Woolworths have tried this in the past.....

StickyMicky 28 October 2010 10:03 AM

I got all my microsoft points from the littlewoods thing a while back, and they never asked for the money back.

But the warning is sound IMO.

That is what happened to me! They billed me for £25 and charged £45 to my account. I had to really scour the site to find out how to cancel.
Good deal if you pay by paypal.

M4RKG 28 October 2010 10:12 AM

When would it be delivered?

Should be delivered on the 9th (Release Day) but could be the day before if you're lucky :norty: Or late if you're not
Either way if the order comes through it saves me having to queue at the supermarket :luxhello:

speedking 28 October 2010 10:55 AM

Discount code doesn't seem to work for the 'hardened' edition :( In fact the whole route through pre-order basket checkout seems different!

[Post #19, that explains it then :thumb:]

Just a heads up folks - would be well worth reading this thread

http://www.avforums.com/forums/gamin...ths-co-uk.html

and this quote from it

""Just had a bit of a chat with a Woolworth’s customer service advisor and have been informed this is a very.co.uk code and not a woolworths.co.uk code. He said the order will either be cancelled or you will be charged the full amount. For those who paid with PayPal I guess they will just cancel the order and refund you but if you paid with a credit card or a debit card I guess you will get charged the full amount!

He did go onto say that if used at very you should have no problems what so ever?

Ben"

I get that, so why would woolworths website accept a very.co.uk promo code?

stef_2010 28 October 2010 01:24 PM

not amused :(

Now I'll need to wait bout 4 working days to get my fookin refund

M4RKG 28 October 2010 01:26 PM

Hmm... think i'll ring woolies about this one.

There number is 08448221010 is anyone else wants to

wilkoca 28 October 2010 01:35 PM

Chap on Surrey Scoobies called them -

"Just got off the phone with Woolworth. The bird on the phone told me that the discount code doesn't work for card purchases made through the site, so you will be charged full price, then you won't get the cash back, so I've cancelled my order.

Hopefully those of you who paid by Paypal will have more luck! "

Oh-Flock 28 October 2010 02:03 PM

my paypal payment shows £25

i've had a conformation email from woolworths showing £25 total and expected delivery date

see if it gets canceled in the next couple of days

M4RKG 28 October 2010 05:26 PM

If this spoils my 9th November 2010 i'm gunna put them out of business!!

... oh no, wait...

stevebt 28 October 2010 05:45 PM

Just bought the PS3 one, it looks like the £20 discount is a 1st time buyer saving :D

Ian 28 October 2010 06:08 PM

tried to use it on the pc version, but needed to have a min spend to use the discount :(

g7prs 28 October 2010 07:52 PM

We are sending our apprentice up to the supermarket to get our copies as we are nightshift! Hopefully they will have them at a decent price!
