FAT32 or NTFS on External HDD ?
got myself a 1.5TB external HDD. comes as FAT32. shall i NTFS it?
what's the pro and con of NTFS besides the extra storage? will it be more reliable or faster?
if i do go NTFS, shall i convert it or format it to NTFS?

FAT32 has a 4GB file limit. So if you have some decent HD films, you won't be able to put those on there.
Plus if you have a PS3, and some other media devices, they only take FAT32.
So it really depends on your uses for it.
For me, I would partition in with the smaller portion being FAT32 for my PS3.

ntfs is not meant to be used for external storage, however I do use ntfs for external drives and have not had an issue. for me the hd issue was the killer, along with drive images. Too often I ran into the 4Gb limit and ended up with ntfs to solve that.

windows 98 was FAT 32 shows you how old it is. be aware though u want see it on a windows 98 PC if its FAT32
