Default Securing a memory card?

Say for example you had taken pictures of things you didn't want other people to see ... legal but personal ..

The data recovery software I have is able to bring it back from months ago even with camera usage ..

Any suggestions on deep formatting ?

Just download "TrueCrypt" a free piece of encryption software.

Stick a container file on the memory stick and put all your **** in there. The file will to all intents and purposes look like a word/excel/mp3 file but won't open. Use TrueCrypt to open it, insert your password and bobs your uncle..... so I'm told

Some geeks have found a flaw in RSA's encryption process which has allowed them to crack 1024bit without the need to bruit force!

Download PGP desktop - there is a 'feature' called PGP shredder that will completely erase any removable media. Be advised it will take a long time - I would let it run overnight.

You will recover nothing after using this one.

Plenty of 'free' copies around too.
