Retrieving Temp Internet Files
Hi,
The Doris has been working hard all night and has just lost all of her work!
She sent herself an email to her hotmail account containg the word document. She opened it up at home and spent hours completing an assignment this evening. Instead of clicking 'save as', she clicked 'save'.
We don't know where it's gone. We've done a search in all of the folders using the search function but nothing turns up.
Has she lost her work or is there any way of getting back?
Please help
Thanks,
Nick.

How exactly did you do your search (and what operating system are you using)?
Search for all files created on your C: drive (and D: etc if you have them) in the last day, and then sort by modified date to find the ones created/saved around the time "Doris" was working.

it will be deep deep in her user profile, and in a dir that is hidden
you need to makes sure all dir's inder her profile are unhidden
C:\Documents and Settings\doris\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK164
will be hidden
