Question PC fault, or something else?

WIN XP SP3. I can't change my desktop background?

Usual right click/desktop/properties. No matter which image I select, it doesn't change it. If I tile/stretch/centre the images, nothing.

Any ideas? Running a full virus scan now.

Try, Right click on desktop > Properties > Select Desktop tab > click Customize Desktop > Select Web> Make sure everything is unchecked.

Then right click a picture you have and set as desktop background

See if that sorts it.

All unchecked. The fault doesn't happen on another user profile on the same PC.

Corrupt profile?

Click here to download this file

Extract it, then run fixreg1.reg and then then fixreg2.reg, keep clicking yes to registry merge.

Should sort it.
