As the title really anyone run one at home and whats the crack with them, seen there's a model called DM800HD, with this would i be able to get rid of Sky???

Which seems to be the conclusion i'm coming across on forums, not like the good old cable boxes you just plugged the module in between the cabling

they are both illegal virgin (cable) has sussed it they're changing theencryption to nagra 3 which cannot be hacked as of yet

they have been out for years so wonder why virgin are just changing now surely they have known about these boxes for a very long time have they not ?? appreciatte that they had to be updated every so often but from what I understand this was all done easy enough and was not enough in itself to render the boxes unusable.

From what i've read, they do versions for Sky and Cable, Cable is more downloading codes and the Sky version is Card Sharing.

you dont have to put codes in anymore there is self cracking firmware which does it automatically, yes in the next few months no more dodgy cable for anyone in the uk

i dont reckon it will, its been in eu and us for a couple of years and its still not been cracked
