Default Downloaded PC Games

I downloaded my 1st PC game today and the folder is a RAR file. I unzipped it but then nothing?
How do i open/ set-up/ play a downloaded game?

Either read the .nfo file or buy the game from a shop - the instructions will be in the pamphlet inside the DVD case.

Oops, that's the RAR trojan, did you double click it? If so change all your passwords and reinstall Windows, if you don't have a copy download one first.

am i right in thinking some downloaded games have to be burned onto a disc in order to actually get them to work>?

there is a good chance its an iso file, you can mount the image or burn it to disc

Mine always have


Bought a few from steam = easy
One from Nvidias setup = easy
One from a developers website = even easier


In fact i actually bought one from steam last weekend (DOW2 )

use iso buster and unpack the game to a folder on your computer then install and copy over any cracks if its a copied game??

Rar Files are simular to zips these are compressed files if you use winrar to open the file this may contain a .iso file the thing with rar files is there are usually split into upto 45 file for the full iso. Also it may be a cue/bin file this can as previously suggested can be converted to an iso for installation. this can be done via burning the iso to a disk or using a free program called virtual clone drive where you can mount the iso as on a virtual disk drive created in the afore mentioned program. hope this is helpful please send me a pm if you need any help..
