Default wireless help

how can i find out if my pc is wireless compatable..ive recieved a wireless router today and can i set it up..can i *****.

my pc is a compaq 3000+ and the router is a Thomson TG585v7.

do i need anything else ie a wireless dongle or not

Are you talking about the Compaq Presario 3000 notebook ??

If so it has wireless built in

If it's a "PC" then you will usually need a wireless dongle............

no not a notebook... its a pc..it is the compaq presario..will any dongle work

I've got Netgear dongles.....seem pretty reliable but I'm not really an expert. Someone will come on here and think otherwise

Mine came with a CD which did everything for me IIRC

Windows also should have a smartwizard that will do it for you as well
