There is a Win32 version of MAME too
Works fine in XP.

Yeah, MAME has been ported to every platform imaginable, including Win32, but I was still getting problems.
DJDunk sorted that now!
Anyone know any good websites for ROMS ?
www.mame.dk was the definitive one but they've been forced to remove all their roms now.

Wow, is it true there's a Sega Model 1 emulator ? Anyone know its name? Just saw a ROM for Sega Star Wars (arcade) and Virtua Fighter

If any of you emulation nutters have an Apple Mac then check out
this site. very cool.
Did have a copy of MacMAME on my machine, think it got trashed though
Bloody good fun though.

There are about 8 mame enthusiasts in the uk offering a free burning service for all 3000 mame roms (thats 1800 games).
All you do is provide 7 blank cdrs.
Highly recommended.
