DJ - you are indeed a STAR

Isnt that because MAME is DOS based and XP errrrrrrmmmmmmm isnt! :D

DJ Dunk 10 March 2002 08:57 AM

There is a Win32 version of MAME too :)
Works fine in XP.

DazV 10 March 2002 01:32 PM

Yeah, MAME has been ported to every platform imaginable, including Win32, but I was still getting problems.

DJDunk sorted that now!

Anyone know any good websites for ROMS ?

www.mame.dk was the definitive one but they've been forced to remove all their roms now.

DJ Dunk 10 March 2002 04:01 PM

http://www.aceroms.com is a good one :)

If any of you emulation nutters have an Apple Mac then check out this site. very cool.

Did have a copy of MacMAME on my machine, think it got trashed though :( Bloody good fun though.

There are about 8 mame enthusiasts in the uk offering a free burning service for all 3000 mame roms (thats 1800 games).
All you do is provide 7 blank cdrs.
Highly recommended.
