This morning, my computer will be mainly.............

Clicking on any of my favourites produces a long wait, then, more often than not, an error message telling me the connection was interrupted during opening and the document contains no data.
HOWEVER: typing the SAME address into the address bar produces near instant response.
.........well, instant for French internet, anyway
Anyone got any ideas, or is it just a glitch that will sort itself?
Computer people: please remember that any answer will need translated unless couched in very simple terms
