Default Blackberry Curve

I`ve got one of these phones and want to use it with a Virgin Mobile sim card, anyone had any luck in setting one up or know how it can be done.

It was either sim free or t-mobile i can get on to the internet with it through wi-fi and have now downloaded Opera mini and set the Virgin APN into it under advanced setting and can get on through gprs but now i`m stuck with email settings its asking for a password that i just do not have I only want to set my G Mail one up which i know the username and password on that.

Have you setup your G Mail account details on the Virgin BIS server?

On your backberry you should have an 'Email Settings Icon' you enter teh account details in there.

Actually, having looked on the Virgin Mobile site, they dont list any Blackberrys on there, so they may not have a BIS server (relay).

I would phone their customer services and ask them -

"Do you support Blackberrys, configured via a BIS server, that is provided by yourselves"

In the email settings it asking me for enterprise activation server address which is the code i dont have

Your Blackberry is configured for a BES server rather than a BIS server, if Virgin do support it, then they will be able to configure your device to suppirt BIS via an OTA (over the air) update.

You could always try and use the Gmail app for BB?

Virgin can not do OTA update but have given me settings to put in manually but i`m lost now on how or where to put these settings in, what the`ve gave me is:-

Name:- picture message
ip address:- 193.030.001
ip port:- 9201
login:- user
password:- "leave bank"
server address:- http://mms.virginmobile.co.uk
APN:- goto.virginmobile.uk
