Default iPhone OS 3.0

What's it like, coz mine isn't even downloading yet

you need a new version of iTunes - okay
Installed.
Restart.
'Updating iTunes Library'
I wouldn't mind, but my library is 147GB and it's crawling along!

It's 11:15 and I just want the fvcking OS update

If this was MS, people would be spitting blood - why do apple get to p!ss people around like this

The cut and paste is finally here and quite intuitive once you figure out how to do it (took me a while and a look at the online help), the shake to shuffle is useful. Not too bothered about the rest of it at the moment.

Do you know what Nat, I think you've found something that Microsoft do better. Operating system updates, they've certainly had enough practice patching all the holes.

JC, you have to be joking, right? every time i connect an apple device - if it gets a sniff of the internet there's an update and, unlike MS's small localised updates, apple's are 00s MB

It does on an Apple machine

Itunes was not great on my old windows PC

Much better on a mac. Updates and syncs much faster and more reliably.

Lol if you were organised you already had Itunes 8.2 ready to go well before OS 3.0 download time

I stand by my statement "Operating system updates, they've certainly had enough practice patching all the holes." where's your evidence?

Yeah, and if I wrote software for two OSs, one of which ran on hardware only I made, then I'd make the "enemy's" software run slower, which it does, for no apparent reason.
