Default Photoshop elements?

Is there much difference between version 7, version 6, version 5 etc?

Prices on e-bay are similar, with one place doing v7 NEW for £50

Aye, that's the one, I have it bookmarked, but is it worth paying £50 for that, when V5 is going for £30 delivered and V6 is stood at £23 but may go higher?

Both are used, btw, but supplied with code key.

Yes. Newer versions are far less buggy, have more features, support more cameras, and work properly on Vista etc. Elements 5 (for example) tended to crash rather a lot, whereas v7 seems a lot more stable (mum uses it all the time).
