is there a nintendo dsi backup device?
Got a nintendo dsi and I am going on my hols in a few days so dont want to take a load of games with me. Is there a backup device available for the dsi? I know there is for the ds and ds lite, but from what I have read these devices arent compatabile with the dsi?

Yes, lots. EZflash Vi, AceKard 2i, TTDSi TT DSi & R4DSi to name a few.
Not looked much into them but last I read they won't load your DSi backups but DS ones are fine. May have changed now though.

I thoroughly recommend Memory Bits: r4i.co.uk - R4 / R4i Card Zone - Nintendo DS / DS Lite / DSi Adapter

R4 don't actually make their cards anymore, they discontinued them, so just be warned that all these "genuine" ones aren't as genuine as they say :P
Altho saying that, they still work fine, so just go with whichever you like best!

i have used Nintendo DS DSI Flash Cards, R4DS, R4SDHC, DSTT, EDGE, M3 DS REAL - NDS Cards in the past, think they were cheaper than the r4gift site.

I heard that there was an update on the DSI to block the backup chiped cartridges?

Mine are TT cards, I know some have issue over copying etc...but look at it this way.......you have 3 kids, do you buy three games?
I believe you are legally allowed to make a back up of a game that you have bought, it saves arguments then cos all 3 can play the same game..pluss the issue of holidays, I would much rather the kids take a £12 TT card full of games on holiday, then take almost £500 worth of games in a seperate bag that runs the risk of getting lost....much safer bet..
