Default Anyone tried Windows 7 yet?... free beta download

Anyone tried it? I have Vista on my desktop PC and it is truely awful, so W7 can only be an improvement - but how buggy is the beta version?...

Anyone used it? Worth getting?

I'm not going to bother this time, I need my PC for work so need it reasonably stable, plus it's time limited so it stops working after a certain date IIRC.

I have it installed - more Vista V2 than anything radical in terms of front end.

Aug 1st or 31st it expires, can't remember which.
You have to go back to old OS after that, unlikely they'll be any upgrade path to a full version.

Think I'll stick with Vista then - I was under the impression W7 was a bit more like XP, just updated

Why would they go backwards?

W7 is only beta, but it is looking promising. Got all the nice UI updates of Vista, but seems to be faster, uses less memory, and is generally more efficient.
