Is 460W psu enough?
I will be ordering my self build pc asap, and have found a deal incorporating the case I would like, with a coolermaster 460W power supply, I would like to know if this is enough to run:
500gb hdd
optical drive
E8400
512mb 4830
2gb ram
asus mobo
2 case fans

sorry to ask another question, but for gaming and photo editing,which would be better out of:
2.33ghz quad core
3.0ghz dual core?

The 3GHz dual is probably better for games.
The 2.33GHz quad *might* be better for photo editing, depending whether the program you use can make use of the extra cores and how hard you work it.
I'd guess the PSU might be enough to run that lot.
One recommendation I'd make though is to up the RAM to 4GB. Memory's not expensive at the moment; it's even worth thinking about 8GB.

sorry to ask all questions, but just need to throw this into the mix:
how about the 2.66ghz Q6600. even though it has a higher clock speed, is it still going to be slower because the newer ones are more efficient?

thanks for that reply. have been looking at more 3d mark scores, fps on different games, and the Q8200 seems to be coming out on top most of the time. I will be using CS3, which i think can use multiple cores.
